Two up-and-coming circus artists present their award winning debut performance at CirkusMania. Acrobatics and rope in a performance about connecting and reconnecting.
“Cá entre nós” is a Brazilian expression, best translated “Just between us”. Used in an imperative mode, it refers to an important event that is shared between two people. “Cá” can be understood as a delimited sacred refuge, a place for ritual.
We follow two characters´ need to connect and reconnect. At times it is beautiful, at times heartfelt and tender. Sometimes dramatic, sometimes brutal. With acrobatics and rope they build up a tension – as well as the trust for each other.
Cia Doisacordes was born in 2019 from the meeting between Thiago Souza (Brazil) and Roberto Willcock (Chile), during their education at the National Circus School of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro. They moved to Torino in Italy, where they began developing their first project. At the moment they are based in Barcelona. In 2023 they were selected laureates of Circusnext, the European platform for the next generation of circus authors.
